Spot trading

Order books, swaps, how a swap picks its venue, and slippage.

Every pair of native tokens, and any token against native QRDX, can trade in two venues at once: an order book and one or more pools. Both are part of the chain, so a trade is final when a block includes it.

Markets

trade.qrdx.org lists every market with a pool. A market's URL names it: verified assets by name (/trade/btc/usdc), anything else by token address. Anyone can create a token with any name, so the site marks unverified tokens and the wallet always shows a token's address next to its symbol.

Native QRDX trades directly; there is no wrapping. Its side of a trade settles in your QRDX balance.

Limit orders

A limit order rests on the book until it fills or you cancel it. While it rests, its funds are escrowed: a buy holds the quote amount (price × size), a sell holds the base amount. Cancelling refunds the escrow.

  1. Pick a market and the Limit tab.
  2. Enter a price and a size; the form shows the total and your available balance.
  3. Press Buy or Sell and approve in the wallet.

The order appears in Open orders once a block includes it. Several orders can be placed before the first is included: the wallet tracks the nonces it has submitted.

Swaps and market orders

A swap spends a fixed amount and receives whatever the best venue pays:

  • each of the pair's pools, and
  • the book, walking the bids when you sell the base asset or the asks when you buy it.

The swap settles entirely with the venue that pays the most. Before you sign, the site asks the node for an exact quote and sets minimum received to the quote less your slippage tolerance (0.5 % by default). If the price moves past that before the block, the swap fails and nothing changes, except the small transaction fee.

Every operation is all-or-nothing

A swap that would receive less than its minimum, an order you cannot afford, or a cancel of someone else's order is refused whole. The chain records the failure; your balances do not change except for the fee.

Fees

  • Pool fees depend on the pool's tier: 0.01 %, 0.05 %, 0.3 % or 1 %. 70 % go to the liquidity providers in range, 30 % to the protocol.
  • Transaction fees are paid in QRDX and burned: about 0.00004–0.00015 QRDX per operation, whether it succeeds or fails.

Charts and data

Prices, candles, trades and 24-hour statistics come from the chain's own fills and pool swaps. Where a token has an outside market, the site also shows its USD index price from public exchanges, labelled as reference data. Nothing is generated or padded.
